I have purchased numerous extended warranties over the years for many Amazon purchases from Asurion and never filed a claim until now. It was very easy to file the claim over the phone. They sent me a shipping label to send my Epson ET-4700 printer back because there was an issue with the motherboard and the printer would not turn on. They emailed and texted me when the package was received by them and within two hours later sent an email and text that printer could not be fixed and they refunded me the full amount of what I paid for the printer with an Amazon Gift Card for future Amazon purchases, and the gift card never expires!!! Best money spent for an extended warranty. Will use them again for any purchase that offers an extended warranty. Read more

I purchased the 4 year protection plan for an epson printer. I have had my printer 3 years. Well while moving, the printer must've got mishandled, but for some reason it had an error code saying that the scanner was not working. Then the screen went black some time later. I reached out to the insurance and they didnt hesitate to get the claim processed. From start of claim to replacement of the printer it was less than 2 weeks. They attempted to repair the printer and it couldn't be repaired so I was refunded and I purchased a new printer. I have had this insurance on several items and any time I've gad to use it they have dud an amazing job. Read more

I bought an outdoor swing (an OUTDOOR swing), and was offered this coverage. I NEVER buy insurance for this stuff when it's offered because I know it's a joke and a rip off. But, I thought with this thing being an OUTDOOR swing, maybe I should. Well, we had a significant snowfall and this swing is on my deck where I sit and read. We also have solar panels on our house. The snow began to melt and the snow slid off of my roof and broke a part of this swing. I was pretty unhappy about it, but not nearly as happy as I was when I found out this swing is not covered under weather damage. To my knowledge, weather damage is typically when something becomes weathered from being outside for a significant period of time or something destroyed by weather that was not meant to be in those elements. I was denied my claim referring to this issue as weather damage. On top of being denied, I was not even offered replacement parts or any assistance whatsoever. So, now I have a broken swing with no resolution. What they DID do was offer to waive the cost of the coverage. My conclusion is this; they offer you coverage and hope that no one submits a claim. I would assume that more than 3/4 of people who buy this coverage never have a reason to file a claim. Because of that, they can easily afford to simply reimburse those who actually need the coverage and never offer any assistance whatsoever. DO NOT BUY THIS COVERAGE!
