My basement has a drop ceiling with a mix of fluorescent T8 fixtures that still have their ballast and no longer have their ballast. It tested these is both types of fixtures. They install and worked without any issues - you just plug them in like a normal tube. They are very bright as you expect from these types of lights. The tubes are well made. My personal opinion is these A+B bulbs are the best value to get as replacements. You can get just type A for cheaper but the ballast seems to eventually fail in a fluorescent fixture and at that point its cheaper and easier to rewire it to type B and these fit both uses case where unused type A bulbs become useless if you don't buy a new expensive ballast. These Sunco LED tube lights are very bright and work really well. I used them to replace old fluorescent bulbs in my garage, and the installation was easy. They fit right in, and I did not need to change much wiring, which saved time. The brightness is great. The light is clear and white, and it makes the room look much better. I like that they turn on right away with no flickering. They also feel strong and well made, so I think they will last a long time. For the price, this 30-pack is a good deal. You get a lot of bulbs, and they use less power than old lights, so it helps save money over time. The only downside is that the light is very bright, which may be too strong for small rooms. Other than that, these are great lights and worth buying. Read more

Ordered these T8 bulbs to use in my garage fixtures. These bulbs are easy to install and since I already modified the fixture to be direct power without ballast these bulbs went straight in without any issues. These bulbs are as if not brighter then my other bulbs and use less power. These bulbs are exactly what I needed to fix the lights in my garage so I could see while working on my vehicle. So far none of the bulbs have given me any problems and they function as expected. I would assume the lifespan on these bulbs is 50,000 hours as are most leds. Overall, a good choice if you need to replace fluorescent bulbs. Read more

These type A+B LED replacement tubes are very versatile – they can be used with fixtures that have already been rewired for single-ended LED power or for those who still have functional ballasts that haven’t yet been rewired with the ballast removed. I like everything about these replacement lights: instant on, no-flicker, 50,000-hour life, real glass used for the tubes, bright white 5K color temperature, versatile installation, and a generous 7-year warranty. In my situation, I have removed the old ballasts and rewired the tombstones for a single-ended AC power feed to the LED tubes. It’s always good to stick a label on the fixture that indicates the wiring change for anyone who may encounter it later. These are really great lights and not my first experience with Sunco Lighting. I have used their LED replacement tubes and outdoor LED fixtures with good success in the past. These LED tubes are easy for me to recommend. They fit just like the old T8 tubes and work perfectly, offering bright tubes of light that operate with less heat and much more energy efficiency. When offered with a coupon offer, they are a no-brainer great value if you want quality replacement tubes that will least for many years. Read more

So far 3 bulbs have overheated to the point of melting. Stay far away! Single strip LED in a plastic tube, diffusion is also terrible. Read more

Pretty good bulbs for the price. I noticed some seem to be slightly different shades but it doesn't hurt the shop any. Good light output and fantastic compared to florescent lights! Read more

This review is for the Sunco T8 LED 4 ft. replacement for fluorescent lights. It's a Type A+B which means that it can used with or without a ballast and in a single or double ended tombstone. Therefore, it will work in all T8 4 ft. fluorescent fixtures. That's good for me because I have an office with lots of 4 ft. fluorescent light fixtures and as the ballast goes out, I have been bypassing the ballast. Then I don't have to remember which ones are ballast bypassed and I can keep using the fluorescent tubes that are in place until they burn out. These T8 LED tubes came in a large box that was well packaged in foam even though the box was torn in some places. In my office, we need 5000K daylight bulbs to reduce any color change from the lights, so these are perfect for my use. The lights come on instantly when I turn the switch on and put out an even bright light since the bulb is frosted. LED lights also use less energy than fluorescent lights so they will save on my energy costs over time and last 7-10x longer. I am very pleased with these T8 LED 4 ft. light tubes! Read more

Why is it that, in a 2 tube fluorescent light, one tube starts to go so neither one comes on unless you tap and twist and, after some flickering and flashing they both some on. It does get old real quick then you have to get new bulbs and find a place to properly dispose of the old bulbs. And, when you have a dozen fixtures between the basement and the garage, it is a constant battle. These bulbs are a great replacement. I have 3 or 4 different fixtures and these bulbs fit perfectly in each one. The bulbs are nice and bright and light the area evenly. I like the tone better than the fluorescent light. I do have one fixture where the second bulb is slightly dimmer than the first bulb and it doesn't matter which side the first bulb goes in on. I've tried putting the bulbs in with the power on and the power off and I get the same result, however, the difference isn't enough to worry about. It just looks odd when you look at the bulbs. These cost slightly more that conventional fluorescent bulbs but they use less power and I suspect that they will last longer so overall these are a good investment. Read more
