Ordered this to replace the travel mount I have in my case, which was not quite working the way I needed it to, and was a bit bulky. I own a few Ulanzi items and all of them have been great, so I had pretty high expectations for this on top of that but...I will say that this item didn't just meet my expectations - it exceeded them by miles! Here's why: 1. Very light weight and folds up small. This makes it perfect for travel - it doesn't take up a ton of room in my accessory bag, and it replaces TWO things that I had in there, so...win-win! 2. Most grips/stands designed for use on airplanes are done so with economy travel in mind - I had yet to find one of these that worked in business/first class but this one DOES! It mounts to anywhere on the seat back, window, tray table, or middle console to give you a stable, sturdy place to put your phone. 2. It is incredibly versatile - you can use this as a grip, a mount (as I just mentioned), a tripod, and a stand for a desk - and it does ALL of these things with excellent and stability. 3. The magnets are VERY strong - which is exactly what you want with one of these. If you have ever had just a small amount of turbulence knock your phone off a mount, you know exactly what I mean. But even if you haven't, the stability really instills confidence in this mount that it can handle ANYTHING. 4. It turns fully in 360 degree motion so you can literally put it anywhere and use your phone without having to hold it. It moves the way you want it to, when you want it to, at whatever angle - no fuss whatsoever. It stays right where you put it. This makes it GREAT for so many purposes beyond travel - you can put this on fences, counters, etc. Need to watch a recipe video to make something along with the narrator? Hang this bad boy in you kitchen, put your phone on it, and go create magic together. I would list all the ways this thing is useful but...I'd be here typing for hours! 5. The tripod function is nice so you can put the phone on a desk etc and be able to take FaceTime calls, etc. without needing to hold the phone. 6. It does a fantastic job when folded in as a grip too in keeping your phone stable and secure. I just went to Petroglyph National Monument this past week and when trying to take pictures of roadrunners and other native-to-the-region birds, it was a challenge. The terrain gives them a nature camouflage and I had to take "live" photos on my iPhone 17 Pro Max in order to make sure I got A shot, ANY shot LOL. This would have been SO handy to have there, so I regret not having brought it. That won't be happening again, ha. 7. The MagLock design is EVERYTHING - what a GREAT idea! It easily clips to a belt loop, backpack, purse, and much more - making it easy to have at hand when you need to grab it quickly. The Mag is SUPER sturdy so you do not have to worry about it falling etc. I have a lot of grips, mounts, etc but I've never seen anything like this so...KUDOS to the design team at Ulanzi for using what is otherwise kind of wasted space SO very efficiently! This feature alone would make this 100% worth buying for me, but the fact that it just WORKS so well at everything else...is pretty much gravy. 8. It folds down small and is so lightweight that you could definitely put this in a pocket or another small carry area too...no problem. 9. It's well built and feels very sturdy. which no doubt adds to it's incredible stability. Being that is weighs like .25 lbs, which is the average weight of a coin such as a Quarter, that's pretty remarkable! 10. It's a GREAT price, especially considering how useful this thing is and what good quality craftsmanship it shows the moment you take it out of the box!. This is probably my new favorite travel gadget - it does a LOT for such as compact item, and with a $25 price tag ($23 if you buy it in December of 2025 since there's a coupon) you really can't go wrong with this. It would make an absolutely fantastic gift for anyone who is a frequent traveler, or a photographer of any skill level, or really, ANYONE who uses their phone for everything (and who among us doesn't these days, right?). This is not a gadget that will be thrown in a drawer and never used. I would tell you to buy one but...you should actually buy TWO - one to give as a gift, and one for yourself. :) Can't think of something to get your coworker you barely know in the office gift exchange? Must have miniature tripod mount for traveling and even daily use. It's made of lightweight plastic so there isn't a lot of weight to it but it's stable as a miniature tripod (when you figure out how to position the mount) and the clipping function is useful in a multitude of situations. Ive already used it for daily things like video calls and movies and I appreciate that it's easy to pull on and off the magnetic mount. Also, I didnt realize it when I ordered it but the magnetic mount is sort of a carabiner clip as well so you can clip it on to things. This plastic mount from ULANZI is a quality phone multipurpose tool. I have other ULANZI products that I purchased for my photography and have never been disappointed. As shown in the photos it can hold your phone strongly in either a desk setup or hanging (shown in my Jeep). In my Jeep the visors are plastic so getting good grip is not so easy. However a typical car visor would work fine. The clamp Sspring is fairly strong. I like that the magnetic ring swivels 360 degrees for taking photos/video in practically any direction, portrait or landscape. As you can see in the product video the stand can be used as a handle to allow unobstructed holding of your phone (no fingers in the shot) and allowing extreme low or high shooting. It is cool that they made the magnetic ring a spring loaded clip so that you can easily clip it to your belt, strap or other places for convenience.
