I have many tripods (I have a problem - I keep trying to find 'the perfect one', which probably doesn't exist), but this is a new favorite for travel purposes. I still bring my mirrorless camera when I travel, but having a small tripod for my phone (which is ever more capable) is nice for the times I don't want to carry a large bag. I have a great ESR MagSafe case on my iPhone, so I love that this has a magnetic mount for the phone. It attaches perfectly (though I am not entirely sure what the opening part of the ring is for). This is slightly larger than my other desktop tripod, but it weight much less. I like it has flexible legs, as with only a phone attached it can easily be mounted almost anywhere. The standard screw option is nice too, as I was able to mount my action camera on it. I suspect this could handle my mirrorless camera with my super wide angle prime lens, but the other zooms I have would probably be too heavy and not balance well. As a platform my phone, however, this is great. I have other camera accessories from Ulanzi and this lives up to the well priced, sturdy accessories I have come to expect. Read more

I didn't even pay much attention to the listing for this before I ordered it. I didn't need another small tripod. But as soon as I saw this was Ulanzi AND had a magnetic holder, I jumped on it. And I'm SOOO glad I did!!! This thing is sweet. First of all, the design of a carabiner built in as part of the ring is genius. It's the kind of feature that is beyond just handy because it can make carrying it around with you *actually* feasible. The whole thing weighs very little, so I can easily clip this to my crossbody and have it handy, without it driving me crazy. Everything about the entire design is high quality like you'd expect from Ulanzi. I am not disappointed in any aspect of this thing. There is even a rubber cap that goes over the screw so it doesn't scratch anything. And unlike most tripods like this, the legs on this one are nice and long, giving you plenty of space for your hands to hold it when using it like a selfie stick or filming grip. Oh, and they're rubbery so they provide a nice surface to grip onto as well. There is also a rubbery-like ring on the magnetic part to help protect your device. But it doesn't negatively impact the strength of the magnets--they're plenty strong. This thing is pretty much perfect. Coming from Ulanzi, though, I'm not surprised. I absolutely love their stuff.
