OtterBox FR Series Waterproof Case with MagSafe Designed by LifeProof for iPhone 14 - Black

I purchased the 14 within weeks of its release always had the lifeproof but this case wasn’t available yet so I purchased a generic one. It wasn’t bad, was waterproof, scratch proof, etc.. but the cover for charging port ripped, got another same thing tried a different one, port didn’t rip but had to open the port cover so people could hear me, was annoying but dealt with. So I seen this finally was available but didn’t want to spend the 99, when went to 59 I jumped. Wow, I initially thought there wasn’t a big difference with the generic, LOL. It’s so much better I feel silly. People can hear me with the port completely covered, I can’t believe the sound quality difference, it’s actually like I’ve installed an amplifier. My speaker is so much louder and just the feel in my hand, can definitely tell is a quality case, would highly highly recommend. Read more

I’m on my third one because I do like the drop protection and the phone always dust free etc cause I’m in construction so I do love the protection the phone offers it has taken lots of falls but the camera protector scratches SOOOOOOO EASILY TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CAN NOT TAKE PICTURES. within a month or two that’s it then it’s useless. I’m tired of getting them replaced or fighting to get them replaced. I can’t buy these anymore especially for 100$ a pop. Will be looking for something else. Read more

I do like OtterBox so much. I own a Computer business and I am on the go all the time. I use my phone so much. With my clumsy hands I do drop my phone. On concrete and on pavement. The OtterBox protects the phone amazingly. My issue with this OtterBox is two fold. First, because it is waterproof, the place to open to charge your phone needs to ensure no water can get in. Great. However, because I do not have fingernails, I cannot either. There is a very tiny slot you need to use to open the charging tab. I have to use the curving part of a paper clip to open it. Which is fine, as long as I have a paper clip. Second, the outside of this OtterBox is very slick. My old OtterBox had a rubber bottom. So, when I watch movies, I would put the Otterbox against something so that the OtterBox was at an angle so that it was easy to watch. This OtterBox slips and falls flat. One great thing, tuning the silence or ringer on is so easy. Just turn a knob. My wife did not like the knob. My other OtterBox had rubber for the outside volume up and down and wake-up buttons.
