Good case for the new phone. Ease of installation is not so good, but these cases do provide plenty of protection for the occasional accidental drops (case on the old phone lasted 3 years). The textured rubber sides provide good grip when handling the phone. The grey and orange looks good but the round circle on the realtree back cover is tacky looking. Read more

I love this design and color and have always had great experiences with Otterbox brand. This case is mag safe and one thing I noticed is that the back is thinner than other defender cases I have had in the past and I am guessing this is due to the mag safe feature. In the past this series has come with a plastic hard shell case and an outer shell; however this one does not. This case does have a rubber outside shell similar to former cases. The bottom of the case has two speaker holes but the charging port is covered and can be lifted for charging if using a cable to charge. This option makes it possible to charge via wireless magnetic or cable. The case is sturdy and seems to be as durable as the former otterbox 2 piece cases. It does have all the features for the buttons that match up to the iPhone 17 pro max. One thing that does not come with the case is the belt clip but there is a QR code that can be scanned and a promo code to order the belt clip at no charge. So be sure to keep the paper to get your belt clip. Having been a long time Otterbox fan, I waited for Black Friday and got this case at a liwer price which was worth the wait. Everytime I have upgraded to a newer model phone, I am asked why my phone looks like new still and I tell them Otterbox is the best case. I have dropped phones many times over the years and the worst case scenario is having a cracked glass screen protector or a camera protector crack. The phone itself no damage. They definitely are worth the price and come in a variety of colors and to be honest at first I was missing the dual layer protection but getting the hard shell case off was sometimes difficult. With this case there is none of that involved. Just place your phone in and make sure iron properly and you’re ready to go. So covering your case is now less than a minute or as some may say “a piece of cake.” This case is great even if you missed the Black Friday deal it is worth it. Otterbox has always stood by their products and have sent me replacement parts when the silicone rubber has aged out. So if you’re on the fence know that you have a great warranty for a great product. The belt clip code is in the box. This case is easy to put on your phone as it’s one piece now and you have the dual charging options for wireless or cable and with all the features functions as you have with no case. So I've had the case for a few weeks now. Previously I had used the Otterbox Defender series but wanted a clear case for the Cosmic Orange iPhone. This case is a little thinner than the Defender series and is more of a one piece plastic insert versus the two piece of the Defender series. It does offer a little less protection but should be adequate for most people. I understand there was an earlier version of the case that had issues with the camera control button, those appear to have been fixed with this release. My one pet peeve with this case is the dust cover for the charging port. Having used the Defender series case for 12+ years, the port cover on this case opens in the opposite direction. Yeah, it's a little thing, but little things like that can be frustrating when it would be so easy to have consistency between their cases. Having had it only for a few weeks, I already have some scuff marks on the back of the clear case which is concerning since I am retired and do not put the phone in my pocket with my keys all that often.. I suspect for those of you that are constantly putting it in pockets with keys you'll get more scuff marks and that may be a reason to consider a different case. The last item is a little more cosmetic,. When looking at the phone from the front you can see some of the orange around the edges (see pics).
