I’m so happy I don’t even know where to start. I wanted a waterproof case for my iPhone 15 pro. I didn’t actually care what the cost was and was prepared to buy a big bulky one for more money. Money was not an object. I read the reviews about this otterbox and decided to try it. WOW!!!! This is now my full time case. I travel to beach destinations 5 months a year and wanted more than those 2 dollar plastic heady zip lock bag things they sell at souvenir strands. This delivered. It’s very slim and yes waterproof. Junk! Camera lens cover became so scratched and scuffed that I could not take pictures with the case on within a few months. That was with normal use, nothing “extreme”. I swore off Lifeproof cases years ago from multiple cases breaking or failing to properly protect my phone. This is the fifth FRE case I have purchased for myself and my family. I have one on my old iPhone 12, I have purchased two for my wife, and one for my mother, all iPhone 12s. The reason I like FRE cases is for the built-in screen protector and the fact that having the sealed design keeps dust and grit from getting into the phone. I used to use Otterbox Defender cases when the had the screen protector built-in, but over time, grit got into the openings in the case which does not happen with the FRE. I think the FRE cases hold up well to drops and overall provide good protection. They could be a little better to grip since they can get slippery. It does look like the bottom door is a bit easier to open than on my iPhone 12 case. I am always careful opening that door since I think the hinge is weak. I generally use a wireless charger to charge my phone so this is not much of an issue. Another bad thing that didn't change is how difficult it can be opening the case once sealed, especially after the 1/2 hour water test that is highly recommended. On my first case, the coin dinged the case when opening. After that, I started wrapping the coin in a rag before opening and that worked. Needless to say, when I opened the case today using that technique, I had to push so hard on the coin since the case was so tight, that the case got marred in the exact same way as my first one. Over time, the clear cover for the camera seems to crack on every FRE case. On my wife's case, it cracked across where the lens is, which basically rendered the camera useless. That was the reason for the second one. This really should be made of a more durable plastic. None of the FRE cases in the family ever had any issue with the screen protector. If this was a $25-$35 case, my complaints wouldn't bother me, but for a $100 case, which is supposed to be a premium product, they are bothersome. My recommendations for the FRE would be to have a stronger plastic covering the camera, a better hinge design for the bottom, and improve how the case opens so a coin can't mar the plastic when you open the case. It would also help if there were some grooves in the plastic to make it a bit easier to grip. Read more

Great when new! Very tough and pretty water resistant. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the lens cover gets scuffed up and hurts picture quality. This cover is too expensive for this to happen. Read more
