The quality is there, the instructions not so much. It’s really all about experimentation and believing it won’t break if you tug at it hard enough. They do include three position pictures on the side of the box, but unless you have young eyes and brain, it’s hard to figure out what goes where at first. That’s where the experimentation comes in. If it looks like it has a joint, it really is a joint and keep tugging and it’ll unfold… most likely. It’s extremely compact and lightweight despite the heftiness of the material. All the joints and notches make it extremely versatile to go into more positions than pictured. The only issue is that you have to have a newer phone or phone case with the magnetic circle. I wanted to use my old iPhone to take pictures of it in use but no magnetic back or case. So great quality and functionality once you get over the learning curve and have a compatible case. No one I know just uses the phone without a case and if you have a bigger/heavier phone, you’re going to want that case because sometimes during the learning period, it will fall over due to balance issues. Also if you have a newer phone with the magnetic back, if your case is a cheap one like mine, you’ll lose some magnet strength and it will be easier to knock off even with a light touch. Read more

I have a few of these phone holding contraptions. For the price, build quality, and functionality this one is probably the best. The magnet has a very strong hold to my phone and phone case. This one has an extra articulation compared to similar sized folding stands that makes it even more handy in achieving desired angles. The mantis mode seems useful but I haven’t found many practical applications for it yet. I was hopping it might be good to hold on fence to video tennis practices but I wouldn’t recommend it for that. So far I use it mostly as a desktop and counter stand and occasionally as a grip for videoing kids sports. Read more

First off, this is a Ulanzi phone stand. Not a knock off. This is assembled very well and the joints are tight. I use it everyday since I can’t hold my phone due to arthritis. It’s very versatile and I can use it several ways which give me options. It is light weight and folds to a compact size that I can take with me everywhere. Every part is metal which gives it a A+ for sturdiness. I wish I had known about this phone stand before wasting money on not one but two knockoffs. Read more
